Funeral Services Held for Accident Victim Last Friday

Funeral services were held at the home in Vicksburg Friday afternoon for Ray A. Tenney who was killed last Wednesday, when the truck he was driving for the Standard Oil Co. crashed through the bridge spanning French Creek on the Hampton-Sago road. The body was crushed beneath the truck. Interment was made in the Ours. U. B. Cemetery on the Beverly pike, with the Rev. W. G. Ware, pastor of the U. B. Church, in charge.
An inquest was scheduled for last Thursday afternoon but was called off after authorities had conferred with members of the Tenney family. The condition of the bridge is being investigated since it is reported that it had not been condemned, and members of the community had known for some time that it was unsafe. Officials of the Standard Oil Co. had photographs made of the scene of the accident, and it is believed that some legal steps are to be taken soon.
Mr. Tenney had been driving the gasoline truck for the past three years and was a trusted and experienced employee. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Tenney, and a small child, William Ray; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Tenney; two brothers, Fay and Jay Tenney, and a sister Lula Tenney, all of Buckhannon.
