MEMORIAL WINDOW DEDICATED IN WESTMINS[T]ER ABBEY
MRS. BENNETT HAS RETURNED

We are in receipt of a program of the ceremony and a cut of the memorial window, which was dedicated to the officers and men of the British Flying Service who fell in the great war, Friday, May 26th, at Westminster Abbey, London, England. The window is a beautiful stained glass creation, depicting the Archangel Michael, who has become recognized as the patron saint of airmen. The inscription at the base of the window reads as follows, "To The Glory of God And in Proud and Thankful Memory of Those Members of the British Flying Services Who Fell in The Great War, 1914- 1918." In the lower righthand corner of the window is the insignai [sic] of the West Virginia flying corps, upon the crest of which is the seal of the state of West Virginia. This is the first time in the history of the world that anything American has been placed in Westminster Abbey. We are proud of the fact that the seal of West Virginia is there, and that it was placed there by a Weston woman in honor of a Weston boy who gave his all that this world might be a bet[t]er place in which to live. We are proud of Louis Bennett, Jr., and glad that he and his comrades have been so honored.
