Flag Raising At Ordnance Works Mon.

The West Virginia Ordnance Works here is planning a colorful celebration for Monday, Oct. 12, when the gigantic project's official Flag Raising takes place.
It is understood, however, that employes only will attend. The crowd, of course, will run into thousands upon thousands, including workers for the General Chemical Defense Corp. and those working for the numerous contractors and sub-contractors.
The affair will take place in the Administration Area of the plant. Although the necessity for secrecy forbids most of the details, it is known that the Gallipolis High School Band will furnish the music.
Originally planned for an earlier date, it has been decided to honor Columbus Day while celebrating the Flag Raising.
