Flag Presentation:Yesterday at Camp Carlile, E. H. Norton Esq., presented a splendid flag to Capt. Planke's company, who were mustered into the service of the United States for three years. In doing so, Mr. E made a patriotic speech, in which he stated that fact the Germans knew what despotism was, and were always ready to fly to arms to resist it. He said that the rebellious Secessionists were trying to inaugurate the very same system of tyranny from which many of the liberty loving Germans had fled. The speech was frequently applauded, and had a very preceptible [sic] effect upon those to whom it was addressed.
