The Strawberry Festival last night, notwithstanding [t]he well grounded apprehensions that it would not be a success, met the most sanguine expectations of the patriotic ladies who got it up and conducted it. Strawberries were served up in rich and royal deliciousness and abundance; every delicacy that the eminently good taste of the ladies could suggest was there, and every novelty which their fertile ingenuity could devise. It was a really pleasant and agreeable affair, in every respect, and we are glad to be informed that a respectable sum of money was realized for the good cause.
