The Right Man in the Right Place.

We are pleased to note the election yesterday, of Ellery R. Hall, Esq., of Fairmont, as Clerk of the Senate, in place of Lieut. W. W. Lewis, resigned. We esteem Mr. Hall, who is a lawyer in good practice, as one of the most worthy and promising men within our new State. Most estimable and unexceptionable in his private character, he is in his views of public questions and policies sound and true all over and all through. His loyalty is of a kind that will wash. The new State never had a better friend. For his present position he is amply qualified and cannot fail to give satisfaction. We hope he will not be embarrassed if we seem a little lavish of compliments, for we mean to take the liberty of saying just what we please of him; and in what we have said we have but repeated the language of those who know him best.
Mr. Hall, it will be remembered, is also Clerk of the Constitutional Convention, shortly to be reassembled.
