ARRIVAL OF THE SEVENTH [West] VA.

The gallant Seventh Virginia Regiment, Col. Lockwood, arrived in this city about ten o'clock last evening. They were met at the depot by about one hundred of our citizens. Gov. Boreman and Mayor Crangle, on behalf of the people of the State and city, welcomed the brave boys to the hospitalities of our people, after which the careworn veterans repaired to the Athenaeum, where refreshments had been prepared for them.

The regiment now numbers but two hundred and fifty men. When the valiant regiment left for the scene of war it numbered near one thousand men, rank and file. We know that none of our regiments have seen harder service or done better fighting than the noble Seventh.
