NOMINATIONS FOR BRIGADIER GENERALS

Governor Boreman yesterday sent to the Senate for confirmation the following military officers:

For Brigadier General of the First Brigade, Wm. L. Crawford.

For Brigadier General of the Second Brigade, Andrew S. Core.

For Brigadier General of the Third Brigade, Edward C. Bunker.

For Brigadier General of the Fourth Brigade, Henry F. Westfall.

For Brigadier General of the Seventh Brigade, George C. Bowyer.

The territory contained within the boundaries of the other brigades established by law is so overrun by the enemy that the Governor has thought it would be doing the loyal people of those brigades injustice to make nominations at present to fill the military officers to which they are entitled.

The nominations were referred to the Military Committee and will doubtless be confirmed to-day. Gen. Bunker is a member of the Senate and Gen. Crawford is a member of the House.
