Shot - On Thursday night of last week, Wm. Parr, residing near Joe Gawthrop's in Harrison county, was shot by one of Capt. Altop's Home Guards. Parr was standing in the front door of Gawthrop's house and the family were eating supper when the fatal fire occurred.

Parr was, as we learn, arrested some months ago, on suspicion of offence. The arrest took place at his house, and as it was night, the guard determined to remain all night in Parr's house. During the night he escaped and kept out of the way of the Home Guards till the night on which he was shot.
