January 17, 1865
Nine rebel prisoners recently captured by the 17th West Virginia Infantry, arrived in the city on Sunday morning and were committed to the Atheneum. They were captured in Braxton County. Some of the criminals were dressed in Union uniforms. They said they were coming in to give themselves up when taken.
