Cincinnati Reds Will Draw Large Crowd On Monday

All indications points to a packed grandstand for the Cincinnati Reds game here next Monday with the McDowell County All Stars. The Reds have always been favorites with the majority of McDowell county fans and even though they finished in fourth place this year most of the fans here are still loyal to them.

Never in the history of organized baseball was a team so completely wrecked by injuries as was the Reds early this year, but better luck is hoped for Jack Hendricks and his men next season, and who knows but what Cincinnati may be playing in the World Series next fall instead of playing the McDowell County All Stars. The regular Red lineup will be here for Monday's game which will include Daubert, Critz, Pinnellis, Roush Ducan, Burns, Bressler, Wingo, Haragraves, and Rixey, Donohue and Mays, pitchers.

It is not known yet just who will hurl for the Reds. On the two previous trips made here, Hodeller and Eppa Rixey did the mound work, and it is likely that Mays or Donohue will get the call here this year. Mays after being waived out of the American League, was bought by the Reds and has been the leading hurler of the club during the season just closed.

The management of the Welch club has secured an array of stars from the different clubs in the field to battle the Reds and while there is no use predicting a victory for the All Stars, yet the game will be interesting and there will be plenty of fun for everybody.
