Pursglove mine on Scott's Run, Monongalia County

On January 8, 1943, a fire in the Pursglove No. 15 coal mine on Scott's Run, Monongalia County, killed 13. Six months earlier, an explosion at the No. 2 mine, pictured above, killed twenty miners.
