West Virginia Archives and History
Collections Database

A feature of
West Virginia Archives and History

The Collections Database features materials selected from the manuscript, archives (state government records), and special collections housed at the West Virginia State Archives. At present, the following collections may be searched in the online database:

Civilian Conservation Corps
"Jost Hite of the Shenandoah Valley and Descendants" by Laidley
Virgil Lewis Papers

NOTE: John Brown, Civil War, and related materials that are part of the Boyd B. Stutler Collection may be searched in the online John Brown Database.

Other collections will be added to the Collections Database as time permits. For a listing of State Archives collections, check the "Guides to Collections" on the State Archives web page.

Those individuals planning to access the manuscript, archives, or special collections during a visit to the Archives should make an appointment at least one week in advance.

For further information on these collections, contact Debra Basham

Corrections to the database should be sent to Mary Johnson.
