Image: View into tunnel during the hydroelectric power construction on the New River. View shows completed invert section of tunnel lining. Wooden plugs along edges of invert are to prevent dirt from falling into nuts which are cast in the concrete. The overlapping portion of the steel formwork will be bolted to these nuts when the tunnel lining is being placed. Camera at Station 13 + 40 looking downstream.
