The Virginia General Assembly passed an act which incorporated the Laurel Iron and Coal Company by the following: Meredith Clymer, John W. Seymour, and Rudolph C. Winterhoff. The company's purpose was to mine and transport coal, and manufacture and transport iron in Monongalia County and Preston County. |
