The Virginia General Assembly passed an act which incorporated the Woodlawn Coal and Iron Company by the following: W. Tyler Duvall, John M. Holmes, Gustavus Cresap, J. Pindall Cresap, and Robert E. Cowan. The company's purpose was to mine coal and manufacture iron in Preston County. |
