Description:  The Randolph, Tucker and Preston Turnpike Company was incorporated in West Virginia to construct a road from New Interest in Randolph County to Holly Meadows in Tucker County, to West Union or Chisholm's Mills in Preston County. Subscription books were opened under the direction of the following: in Randolph County, under David Blackman, Archibald Wilmoth, and Elam Hart; in Tucker County, under Jacob H. Long, David B. Hart, Jesse Parsons, William Evans, and William Ewin; in Preston County, under A. D. Weills, Summers McCrum, and Isaac Startzman.
