Description:  The Newburgh Orrell Coal and Coke Company was incorporated in West Virginia by the following: C. Morton Stewart of Stevenson, MD; Otho H. Williams, Richard M. McSherry, Charles O'Donnell Lee, John Stewart, James L. McLane, Alfred Jenkins, Josiah Lee Johnson, Charles Mackal of Baltimore; and James A. Gary of Howard County, MD. The company's purpose was to mine, manufacture, and sell coal, iron ore, fire clay, and limestone, with its main office at Newburgh, Preston County.
