Description:  The H. G. Davis Coal Company was incorporated in West Virginia by the following: H. G. Davis, Harry G. Buxton, Robert F. Bopst of Piedmont, Mineral County; T. B. Davis of Keyser, Mineral County; R. M. G. Brown of Kingwood, Preston County; and F. S. Landstreet of Davis, Tucker County. The company's purpose was to mine, manufacture, and sell coal, and to construct necessary railways, with its main office in Piedmont.
