Description:  The Virginia General Assembly passed an act providing for the construction of a road from the Ohio River at the mouth of Fishing Creek in Tyler County, to Morgantown, to Brandonville in Preston County, to the Maryland state line, under the superintendence of the following directors: Presly Martin of Tyler County; Thomas P. Ray and Richard Watts of Monongalia County; and Harrison Hagan of Preston County.
