A Rebel Major Takes The Oath of Allegiance - Major E. T. Sullivan, of the rebel army, yesterday visited the office of Capt. Over, commander of the post, and took the oath of allegiance to the United State Government. He belonged to the 2nd Texas Infantry, but is a resident of Kentucky. When the rebels came to Harpers Ferry on their recent raid, Sullivan was sent up the railroad towards Duffield's Station, in command of a battalion to destroy the track. After the work of destruction had been performed the command returned to Harper's Ferry and Sullivan remained a short time and proceeded to Maryland. He is quite lame having been wounded some months ago in the south west. He is sick of the rebellion and the war, and is going home to retire from the strife.
